WTF? Cbs and Fox cancel Stalker and The Following, Why?

Read in our local paper but they didnt disclose why these 2 shows were being cancelled.

Anyone know if they had bad ratings. Yeah I know the shows were sick and creepy but so what.
Am I the only one disappointed that these 2 shows are history?

I watched The Following 1st season and part of the 2nd. It was sick and creepy and also unimaginative. Enough with the same old storyline. I can watch just about anything without being offended but you can only watch so much of people getting stabbed in the belly. For entertainment.
